Hi all,

I thought it would be cool to dedicate a website to game development in Clojure (and give people a place to showcase Clojure based games). Maybe we can use this to bring the Clojure Ireland community to life? Everyone likes games and all, so maybe this will give us an incentive to.. do something.

Anyway, besides a pacman ghost I made invade the Clojure logo, the site is devoid of content, but as its hosted on GitHub Pages, it should be easy for people to add to it (fork repo, make updates, send me a pull request).

I even registered a domain, so that I'd have an incentive to keep this alive: http://clojure-games.org/

Looking forward to some Clojure based game development!

Dan.

Hi Daniel,

It's a great idea, but the local Clojure community is obviously in its
infancy...

Why not take it to a larger audience?

Post the idea on Twitter and it may be picked up by the Disclojure
blog (and from there to "Planet Clojure").

Perhaps then you'll get some take-up from the global fraternity of
Clojure developers.

Ciao,

Kevin.

Hi Kevin,

Oh, I intend to do that, but want to put some more content up first. A clojure game development site is kinda bare without.. games. Been meaning to port a few old games I made years ago to clojure, so once I do this, I'll see if the global clojure community likes the idea :)

PS: it looks like the world has at least one clojure-based company! http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1561918
