the current binaries of the Clojure-clr are distributed for .Net 3.5 and .net 4.0 according to the website:

Does anyone know why whether it is possible to run clojure-clr on .net 4.5 or higher (the current version is 4.7.2)?
For example by building from source-code?

Cees.

I haven't tried compiling to 4.5, but no reason it shouldn't work.  (famous last words)
When I put out 1.10 (should be later this month), I can include a 4.7 build.

Hi David,

A 4.7 build would be great. That is a modern build of the .Net system offering better security features.

I did download the C# courses. But the current project only offers the options 3.5 and 4.0. Was thinking about selecting 4.5, but that thought was too simple :-)

Good to know.

That solution does wipe out the possibility of building for 3.5 and 4.0.
Though I think that should be done eventually, I wasn't planning on doing that without a conversation in this forum on what platforms to support going forward.

But, at minimum, it does looks easy enough to support 3.5, 4.0 4.5(?) in the 1.10 release.
Coming soon.

Hi David,

Any news on Clojure-clr that works on .NET 4.5 or higher?
I'm currently trying to use Apache Parquet for .NET.
but that requires .NET 4.5 and clojure-clr 1.9 still runs on .NET4.0

Richard, I am adding you into this discussion.

Cees, here is https://github.com/azurecoder - he could assist.

Don't forget to share insights on ClojureCLR's Gitter room:
. Maybe a reference to the mailing list would be enough - so people could get into details, on chat.

Cees, I still suspect that we require a good community call. That would help to discuss things around ClojureCLR.

Gentleman, I wood be glad to help if you would be interested to share your experience in ClojureCLR and Parquet .NET, at the conferences and meetups.

Ivan

I''m impressed by the Paquet library created by Richard and others. A really fast library that worked well for me in the past together with Clojure-clr.
I will give an update when I handled the issue.

I am adding Ivan Gavryliuk ( @ aloneguid ) here. Hope he don't mind to use his email, in such a way.

Cees, you asked for the key contributor - here is the main committer.
