As agreed at the first meetup, for April we are going to focus on
getting started with Clojure. The plan is to get everyone that attends
up and running with Clojure using their favorite editor or IDE to the
extent possible, get up and running with using the REPL and putting
together a simple project with Leiningen.

If you can make it please RSVP at http://www.meetup.com/clojerks/events/59078602/

It would be great to know what kind of coverage we'll have for the
event in terms of knowledge of various editors. For example, I feel
fairly comfortable with Emacs and IntelliJ, but I know nothing about
using Eclipse, Netbeans, vim, TextMate, etc with Clojure.

If you haven't used Clojure before, what editor would you prefer to
use? What would be your second choice?

If you have been using Clojure for a while, what editor do you use?
Would you feel comfortable helping others get started with this
combination?

So, do we have any collective knowledge of setting up vim with Clojure?

I'm an emacs user, so this is only sort-of hearsay from me:

During the last clojure conference a vim user who was sitting next to me set up and used slimv (https://bitbucket.org/kovisoft/slimv) at somebody's recommendation.

It looked like he was productive using it after a few minutes, so it seems like an easy install. Appears to be a reasonable equivalent to paredit & slime from emacs.
