TRAFFIC ALERT-IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Route 1/I-95 Interchange Project Will Require the Nighttime Closure of I-95 Southbound Exit Ramp 4A, February 6 through February 8

Previous Announcement of I-95 Weekend Closures Postponed

Christiana: The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that DelDOT’s contractor, Cherry Hill Construction will have oversized cranes in place on the ramp for girder installation. This construction will require the closure of I-95 southbound Exit Ramp 4A to Route 1 southbound with lane restrictions on I-95 southbound. The hours of nighttime closure will be from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6, Thursday, February 7, and Friday, February 8.

Detour: I-95 south to Exit 3 (Route 273) to Route 273 eastbound back to Route 1

Variable message boards will be placed to notify motorists of the upcoming ramp closure.

The previously scheduled weekend closure of I-95 on Friday, February 8, has been postponed due to weather delays. An announcement will be made when the new date for the closure is determined.
