Hey Heather & Mel,

We got the money in the Bank for the Hemp Education Project.  It is $5,000

Now Patrick is telling me that he needs to get his phone bill paid asap, or they might turn it off.

I feel a little weird just paying his personal phone bill from the non-profit account.  But I just wanted to make sure that we think that is ok, as it is going to be budgeted as communications when we approve the budget.

Other options would be to pay him personally, and then have him pay his phone bill, or in the same way, make it a reimbursement for his work, as he uses his personal phone for his organizing work, either way the money would go to him instead of the phone company.

Bellow is the preliminary proposal to the Board for the Budget Approval.
We will work out the final budget asap.

Hey Jay and Heather,

Hope you both have been enjoying summer! I think you should definitely provide Patrick with the money he needs for the bill, as long as it's later expensed as an operational cost under communications.

The budget draft looks fine.

By the way - love the photo! :)

Hey Mel,

So everything is going well and moving forward.  I'm a little overwhelmed and all, but hopefully all the plans I have will work out and I will finely start getting the help I need.

As far as this phone bill goes.  It seems like this will be a on-going thing.  Do we want it to be our policy that we will pay anybody's personal phone bill with our non-profit organization?  We can certainly budget it out of what ever budget line item we create, but in the end the documented expenditure is a personal verizon account.  Additionally it looks like me might want to get a new phone.  I don't really have a problem with all of it, but I think it is important to think about all of this in terms of our long term president.

Maybe I should check with a non-profit laywer too, its free to ask.

Talk to you soon,

Jay
