Update and Upcoming Proposals

Hi Heather and Mel,


I know its been a while, so I wanted to give you a quick update on whats going on and there are two proposals that I will be emailing you in the next few days. They should be pretty simple proposals.

The Digital Storytellers Program has had $20,000 of grants this season, so we have a budget to approve for that. It looks pretty good.

Also there is a new poetry program that is joining with Digital Storytellers, as a new fiscally sponsored project. The new Umbrella for both of them will be call Bay Area Creative, but we need to approve it first.

I'm also finalizing the taxes for 2013 soon, it will be pretty simple, but if we get an other $30,000 or so in grants, in 2015 our taxes might take us to the next level to need a full internal audit, but we won't worry about that until we get there.

Lastly I'm about to launch the Grant Writing Team, which is where we can start thinking about new programs we can write grants for.

I'll be emailing you the proposals, and I can answer any questions you have, or you can just approve them directly by email.
