Gentlemen,

Are you able to make this Wednesday's meetup?

Andy and I were talking about creating a demo app using core.async, websockets, maybe Om?  My schedule is crushed right now though, so I'll probably be limited to contributing ideas and encouragement.  :-)

Anything exciting happening in your worlds?

I might could use another month. Had vacation earlier this month. Still trying to get back into the swing of things.

We started using Light Table at work. By next month I might actually be competent enough at it to give a demo. The live evaluation is pretty sweet stuff.

Maybe we take a summer break? :)

As far as my progress update goes - I completely lost interest in Scala :-) and reading some Clojure/Scheme code here and there, keeping up with news, not an active development though - YET.

I have some other commitments this week so cannot make our meetup, although I would rather make up for it sometimes in early August than skipping it ...

My idea for an app is a quick, login-less, collaborative voting app, where ppl by accessing a deep link access page where they can put ideas up to vote, do the vote and call it done. App, based on cookies and IP addresses and behavior would make sure nobody cheats ... that should be completely hassle free.  One of the building blocks would be a editing component where multiple persons edit the same text simultaneously ...

Best,
Andy

Cool, so we'll call this one off then?  We can always meet at a coffee shop if something comes up and we want to get together.  Hob Nobs is a good one, and is pretty close to the library so still central.

I work in downtown Phoenix, so it's no problem for me to come.  I'm really looking forward to connect with other local Clojure developers.  I don't have much to offer at this point except fresh energy & interest.  Private-message me if interested in meeting, whether it's for lunch or happy hour to make fun of all those poor developers that don't appreciate the value of values or to collaborate on a project.

Cool!  Yeah, it would be great to get a real project started.  I think it will help focus our learning.
