Position -            Performance Engineer - Level 3 (Master Technical SME)

 

Location -           Richmond, VA

Duration -          11 Months 29 Days

 

Job Description:

•             Strong likelihood of conversion for the right candidate.” If meeting quality bar, must convert by 3 mos.

•             Works in partnership with business, production services, and feature development teams in support of call center applications. 

•             The role requires windows and .net background, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.

•             Will work as a member of an agile team - so strong team player is essential, and kanban experience is a plus.

•             The scope of work includes the full technology stack from the web application through middleware and APIs to back-end connectivity. 

•             The resource will provide team and technical leadership will engage with a variety of stakeholders in troubleshooting and development activities.

                Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•             Master technical SME who is capable of partnering with resources across various disciplines, lines-of-business, and vendors in the analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of          production incidents

•             Development and testing of new features and changes to existing .net code.

•             Attention to detail in response to incident tickets and writing implementation plans for software deployments

•             Provides a broad understanding of applications, platforms, and underlying technologies at both the software and infrastructure levels.

•             Contributes to the on-going maturity of the performance engineering discipline including identification and creation of standards and the formalization of processes to ensure the initial and on-going satisfaction of non-functional requirements

•             Manage customer relationships with the business, delivery, and technology partners

General Experience:

•             Leading small to medium sized virtual teams in completing assessments and troubleshooting

•             Partnering with resources across various groups and with varying skill sets to resolve issues

•             Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges

•             Demonstrated experience to influence and coordinate third parties and suppliers

•             Familiarity with ITIL and production support and troubleshooting practices

•             Web technologies (weblogic, Aqualogic, .Net, Apache, etc…)

•             Network technologies (Load Balancers, Switches, Routers, Network sniffer tools, etc…)

•             Middleware technologies

•             Prior application development experience

•             Prior application support experience

•             Familiarity with various performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Splunk, Aternity)

•             Knowledge of common application infrastructure components
