I'm still fiddling around with the little Nokia displays at the moment - I'll have a look at the 1.8" ones when they arrive. I also have some 320x240 16 bit color LCD's with a built in touch screen to play with as well. They have a 16 pin wide parallel interface though so they would probably need to be driven through an IO expander (like the MCP23017) or a slave processor acting as an I2C slave.

It would be interesting to do a frame buffer driver for the little Nokia displays - I wonder if X will run in 84x48 ? :)

I'm working on getting the pcb done for your i2c-display done that you posted at : http://thegaragelab.com/posts/controlling-a-hd44780-lcd-display.html

Do as many displays as you can. I struggle with them.
