Hi all,
For those wanting a simple PIC or AVR processor board for their projects, I've just completed
a very simple but powerful processor board design as shown.
It might be hard to see from the PCB design but these boards feature:
- 2 x 5-Pin broken out interface pins. Plug two Full-Size or Small-Size boards directly in.
- A JST connector which breaks out to another board from which you can ISP program
them. The JST connectors are just 75c each and have 8 Pins at 1mm pitch.
This translates to a low board cost. There isn't enough space for a full 8x2.54mm ISP
header. These should be nicer.
- Plug these boards directly into the Raspberry-Pi Adaptor.
- Chain them.
- Connect peripherials directly into the top of the board, or end-to-end. Both will work
but remember that there are only 6 I/O available on these 8 pin chips.
