We had a game last night and a debate on the wording for the Amazing Spider-man attack Spider Strike trigger Momentum came up. Could you clear this up as there are 2 very different interpretations. It really centers around if Amazing Spider-Man is placed or the targeted enemy is placed.
1. Choose another enemy character within 2 of the Spider Strike target enemy character. Place Amazing Spider-Man within 1 of the chosen character. The chosen character takes collision damage (size 2 - Spider-Man size). Amazing Spider-Man takes no damage.
2. Choose another enemy character within 2 of the Spider Strike target enemy character. Place the Spider Strike target enemy character within 1 of the chosen character. The chosen character takes collision damage (size of the Spider Strike target enemy character size). Spider Strike target enemy character takes no damage.
In this case for momentum it would be case 1 above, ie amazing spider man is placed within 1 of the other enemy character. The enemy character would have to make a damage roll as if amazing spiderman was thrown into them.
I've decided to create a repository of Spider-Man's greatest feats with their sources included, since many other respect threads have broken links or don't include sources. Spider-Man is one of the best comic book characters ever, so it is time he got a respect thread worthy of him. There are going to be no limits on what can and can't be included here, so please feel free to PM me or post scans below for me to add (but please, try and provide sources for all scans)! If you can provide sources for the minority of uncited feats, that would be greatly appreciated as well. Spider-Armor Mark IV is able to hold up most of the weight of a skyscraper (rubble/debris) until it collapses over him (Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man 5). It appears that Spider-Man is holding up the majority of the skyscraper since when Spider-Man starts to buckle the entire skyscraper collapses as if he was the only thing holding it up. Also, we can clearly see Spider-Man was at the bottom of the skyscraper and that there were no large pieces of debris elsewhere when Uatu is able to run out of the destruction site unhindered. The only debris left standing, without Spider-Man supporting it, are a couple of foundation beams for the skyscraper.
