Dear Clio'sPsyche Folk,
Good evening from Oklahoma. Today I had the good fortune to have a little article published in the Tulsa World On-Line Opinion site. It is called "Projection in the Age of Trump." I enclose the link below if you are interested in reading it.
It is part of my on-going effort do try to contribute some applied psychohistory/psychoanalytic anthropology, etc. to a wide audience. The Tulsa World has generously published several of my essays over the past years. The op-ed editor, Wayne Greene, is especially receptive to my weird kind of thinking, and has published my work on many occasions.
Thank you for your consideration. See you soon at the IPA.
Warmest regards,
Howard

Thank you, Judy. I hope that something's working. I'll never know who reads the op-ed piece, even though it's theoretically available for "billions and billions" (to borrow from astronomer Carl Sagan) to read. However, here the Pleasure Principle meets the Reality Principle . . . .
Warmest regards,
Howard

Dear Patrick,
Good evening from Oklahoma. Thank you. You are right to say that projections are reciprocal. No one or one side is pristine. Indeed, to insist that one or one's group is pristine, and that the Other is all bad, is clear evidence of splitting, projection, etc. The reciprocal projection and projective identification and introjective identification become an unconsciously driven system, from which the two supposed opposite (at the conscious, ideological, level) are inseparable.
In my little article, I limited myself -- and was limited by newspaper space, even on-line -- to exploring and perhaps explaining one facet of the toxicity and miasma of the Age of Trump. Thanks again for writing.
Warm regards,
Howard

since, with the rise of hillbilly elegy, they’re in the process of becoming less available as ready poison containers b
