Tried windows update to find missing driver and it says there's no drivers available for that device. So I went on xiaomidriverdownload and tried a bunch of drivers (from note 7 even to the note 8 pro ones), nothing works even via INF installation. I tried installing MI pc suite but I have the "you need to update your phone" error even though the phone and the suite are up to date.
First of all, I do not recommend to install the phone drivers to use wizard-driven software or pea pods, millet has provided official drivers, in my opinion, this driver should be the most secure, but with other software to install, simply by hardware identification to select the drive, and the identification is correct or not can not be 100% sure, this process is not artificially controlled, equivalent to drive right to choose to install a mindless software, I think it is not so reliable .
When the Xiaomi device is connected to the computer Mi PC Suite says "Update your device before connecting" though there are no new updates. This error will be fixed in upcoming PC suite updates. Because developers are working on it
My Xiomi Redmi note 8 is having technical fault and i downloaded Mi PC suite latest version available on the web, but still having connection issue not resolve for one and half years. Really disappointing .
how can we fix this issue with mi-pc suite or is there other software i can use i dont have a a backup ofr this phone can you please let me know. also, i want to know how i can join my phone to my laptop like i could with samsung note 5
I have installed mi pc suite latest version but my phone is not connecting there. Is there any way I can connect my phone with mi pc suite while it's in recovery mode or exit this mode without losing my data. The data is crucial and I don't have its back up.
let me know if there's a way to connect my phone with mi pc suite while its in recovery mode.

The preferred feedback method is using the built-in feauture using the following schema:
1) Try to use XiaoMiTool
2) If you find a bug or error, don't close XiaoMiTool, click the settings icon, click "Send feedback"
3) You can write a quick report of the error you encountered, it's not necessary (if you see the error details in the tool then those details are already included in the tool, if the tool is stuck or doesn't show an error, then please include a brief description of what happened)
4) Please include log files, feedbacks without log files are close to useless
If you want to leave a detailed feedback or private feedback you can send an email to [email protected], please always attach the log files which are usually in C:\XiaoMi\XiaoMiTool2\res\tmp\logs on Windows and in /opt/xiaomitool/res/tmp/logs on Linux.

In our extensive benchmark testing, the Xiaomi Mi 9 performed admirably. On PCMark, a benchmarking suite that emulates real-world scenarios, the Mi 9 scored an impressive 8,932, beating out the Honor Magic 2 (7,586) by a long shot. It garnered an equally solid score on Ludashi, coming in at 349,490 and again crushing the Magic 2 (299,742).
In addition to the standard array of PCMag benchmark tests, we added a new player to the mix, AI Benchmark. It's a suite of tests that requires the phone to quickly identify people, places, and objects. Once again the Mi 9 bested the Honor Magic, coming in at 23,140 to the Honor's 15,587. And while that doesn't compare with the OnePlus 7 Pro (25,258) or the ZTE Axon Pro 5G (27, 274), the Mi 9's capabilities still far surpass most smartphones currently on the market, especially at this price.
The Mi 9 ships with Android 9.0 Pie along with Xiaomi's custom MIUI 10 interface. Since the phone is made for the Chinese market, it has a suite of custom apps to replace standard Google services. There's also no shortage of bloatware apps that come preinstalled, though luckily you can delete most of them.
USB Driver may not work in some cases like writing images or zip files on Xiaomi phones using ADB commands or ADB sideload. Also for flashing files in Fastboot mode, you need to install Fastboot drivers on your computer.
Most Android OEMs offer official driver packages for their devices. Besides the ADB and Fastboot interfaces, these drivers also support proprietary flashing protocols designed by the corresponding device maker. For example, if you want to flash a Samsung Galaxy device, you must install the Samsung USB driver package beforehand.
Note that Microsoft has been shipping a generic ADB driver with Windows for a while, so installing the OEM driver just for the sake of USB debugging might not sound worthwhile anymore. Windows can also check and install the missing drivers on the fly through Windows Update. However, Microsoft-recommended drivers are not always the best choice for complex USB interfaces, so do check out the official driver pack whenever possible.
Now that you've downloaded the suitable driver package for your device, it's time for you to install it. Some OEMs offer standard installer executables, which means you can easily install the whole driver suite by double-clicking on the setup file and following the wizard.
On some occasions, the OEM drivers aren't enough. Perhaps you've stumbled upon a no-name generic tablet, or the flash mode interface of your shiny new phone has yet to get an official driver from its maker. In that case, you can forcibly install an existing driver package for a similar USB interface through Device Manager.
The Samsung Update app allows you to download and install recommended apps and drivers for your Samsung PC. It is usually preinstalled on Samsung PCs, but you can download it from the Microsoft Store if you don't see it.
In most cases, your model will automatically be detected and the list of apps and drivers will indicate what is or is not up to date. Otherwise, enter your PC's model number in the Search bar, and then choose the appropriate software version, such as Windows 11 or Windows 10 v20H2.
On your PC, select Start, and then select Settings. Select Update & Security or Windows Update, and then select Check for updates. If Windows finds updates, they will download and install automatically. In some cases, drivers may be considered an optional update, but it's recommended to install them.
Updating the drivers for your Samsung PC can be done through either Samsung Update or Windows Update. However, getting drivers for any external devices you connect to your PC is also important. Windows Update may offer these drivers as well, but may mark them as optional.
If the external device or component you are connecting happens to also be made by Samsung, such as a monitor, you may find drivers for it from our Download Center. If drivers are not available from the Download Center, then available drivers from Samsung Update and Windows Update can be used, or the drivers built-in to Windows may be sufficient.
Devices or components made by manufacturers other than Samsung may offer drivers directly from their site. See Microsoft's help article for how to install and update drivers for additional information.
Sometimes the Android phone cannot be connected to PC via USB using ApowerMirror, which may be caused by a problem with the USB driver. Here are the links for some drivers ( All links are from the official website).
