DICOM / ISAC / ICCS / ... Flow Cytometry Standardization Call Summary, October 28, 2011
Present: Josef Spidlen, Michael Meissner

Summary
(Action items summarized below)
  • Harry arranged for the cytometry standards ad hoc group to be able to meet at the HL7 meeting in San Antonio on January 15, 2012, under the auspices of the HL7 Imaging Integration WG. A meeting room will be available for 9am-3pm. It is also recommended to attend one of the "HL7 First Time Attendees" introductory sessions held on Sunday 4-5pm and Monday 7-8am. Everybody, please let the group know whether you are planning to attend the meeting in San Antonio. Participants will need to register; the per day meeting fee (includes breakfast, lunch, and wi-fi) is ~$220 (participants can register at the HL7 member rate). Harry will be also looking into external support for clinical participants.
  • ClinicalFlowStandards <clinicalfl...@googlegroups.com> Google group has been created for our efforts; please join if you haven't already.
  • Harry, Jeannine, did you get any new vendors on board with our efforts as the result of the meeting in Portland?
  • There was an issue with the conference line this morning (Josef and Michael had to call in couple times before the password was finally accepted; Horacio did not make it in at all); we will investigate what was going on but in case this happens next time then please just hang up and try to call in again.
ACTION ITEMS
- Everybody to email whether you are planning to attend the meeting in San Antonio.
- Everybody to join the ClinicalFlowStandards <clinicalfl...@googlegroups.com> Google group.
- Harry, Jeannine to report whether there are new vendors on board with our efforts.
- Ryan to inquire what was going on with the conference line this morning since all three people had issues calling in.

Until there is an agenda for the meeting, I cannot make a decision. The last I heard was a plan to spend a day reviewing material I am familiar with, so I am currently not planning on attending.
