Dear Innovator,

Hope you had a great weekend.

I have recently co-founded a biomedical startup called Biodesign Innovation Labs. We are building life support systems for tier-2 and tier-3 hospitals in India. We are hiring Engineers (Electronics, and  Mechanical), designers and Interns for this project. As a part of the recruitment process, we have a creative challenge for all the interested ones from Design, and Engineering backgrounds.

Do you know of someone who is creative, smart, has a problem solving attitude, and gets things done?
Do you think they deserve a chance to work with a great team of clinicians, designers, engineers and medtech industry professionals?

Those are the people who we are looking for. Help us in identifying one such person in your network who can potentially join us. This could be a the recent grad / final year student / rural unidentified innovator  who are doing a great job at their work by solving problems in their own way, and has a potential to grow. If we see potential to grow, we'd love to have them work with us. We really don't care about their qualificaitions if they have the TRAITS of an innovator and inclination to learn and grow with us.

We will be doing a phone and in-person interview with all the shortlisted applicants after they complete the first round #EggPoleChallenge. Please let us know if you need further information on this topic. Also please feel free to suggest any other creative ideas you may have in mind to reach out to awesome people within and outside of your network to be a part of this program ( internship (6 month) extendable to full-time opportunity).

About us

We're a small, international team of designers, engineers, doctors and industry experts, working on a life-saving medical device. Patients and healthcare providers need a safe, affordable and portable alternative to prolonged manual ventilation. Our solutions, RespirAID helps to reduce morbidity caused by a shortage of ventilators in low-resource settings. We work closely with Stanford Biodesign, professors and clinicians from the Consortium for Affordable Medical Technologies (CAMTech) at Massachusetts General Hospital's Center for Global Health, affiliated to Harvard Medical School.

Project RespirAID

Globally, 1 in 6 deaths in the world occur due to respiratory illnesses. In India alone, this issue causes 1800+ deaths per day. A shortage of ventilators in hospitals amplifies this problem. With Project Respiraid, we aim to make a significant reduction in deaths due to respiratory ailments, in villages and small towns across the globe.
