Question about a_stat / tau_stat fields in ADNI participants

Dear Clinica team,

I’m working with the ADNI dataset converted to BIDS using Clinica, and noticed the fields a_stat and tau_stat in the participants' files. Could you please clarify how these amyloid and tau status variables are computed or extracted?

I’m particularly interested in how the Aβ+ / Aβ– status is determined for ADNI participants. Could someone please guide me on which ADNI files or references to check to obtain this information?

yes it is related to participant. I am asking about the columns a_stat and t_stat which comes in the participant file when when we crete merge tsv.

Yes the file name is merge.tsv, screenshot attached, (these columns represents amyloid status and tau status) but i am curious how these are computed here.

Hello Shazhad,

Both parameters are computed manually within clinica :

Values that are hardcoded in these functions are based on papers about ADNI or information from ADNI imaging methods.
