I don't think so. Haven't looked yet. Due to various reasons (mainly
stability and internal release cycle) I am not using Squid-2.3. Instead
I am aiming at Squid-2.4.

There is a couple of bugs in the distrubuted Squid version that causes
memory usage to temporary rise considerably during certain request
patterns. I have a set of patches is available from
http://squid.sourceforge.net/hno/

I run a couple of patchy 2.2.STABLE5 20GB caches (cache size, disk size
is a bit larger) pulling about 10Mbit/s per box and the memory usage is
very stable now.
