Starting Squid under OSX Server

Starting Squid generates the following error:
"assertion failed: dns_internal.c:185: "nns > 0"
Abort trap"
What can I do to fix this error and once fixed, would I need to recompile
and reinstall Squid?

Create a /etc/resolv.conf listing your nameservers, or rebuild Squid
with --disable-internal-dns to revert to the old method of extrnal
dnsserver processes using gethostbyname/addr instead of trying to
contact DNS directly.
