[PORTS] BSD/i 2.1 and shared libs

Hi,

Is it true that loadable user-defined C-functions are not supported under
bsdi2.1? I just untarred my attempt at full text indexing on a bsdi2./1
machine and typed 'gmake', but no .so anywhere....

How can I link this into the backend if I insist on wanting to use this?
