Installing FreeBSD 4.5 in a laptop

if i want to install Freebsd 4.5 in my notebook it must be the last OS
installed ? it has something like LILO for select between Winxp , Win Me and
FreeBSD 4.5 ?? is it easy to setup ? how many partitions i need for
install it ? its like redhat linux 7.3 ?

comp.unix.bsd.freebsd is not widely propagated, so you won't
necessarily get much help here.

No, but that's often a good idea: Windows installations will leave
themselves as the only bootable partitions.

It has a boot manager available in the installation process, yes.
There are a variety of more flexible boot managers available after
installation, but those don't fit into the boot sector itself.

Matter of opinion. I don't think it's particularly easy, but I
consider both Windows ME and Red Hat Linux to be *more* difficult.

One primary (DOS style) partition ("slice," in BSD terminology).

Compared to Windows, it's a lot like Red Hat Linux. Compared to, say,
Solaris, it's quite different from Red Hat Linux.
