make sure you have installed the second cd with the MSDN library, it
comes in 2 parts and if only the first is installed, it does not fetch
the inforamation.

What you have to remember when entering peoples computers without
consent is you will at some point encounter someone that actually
knows what they are doing and that they may lock you in and nail your
arse...and maybe even report it. If you have a genuine interest in
network security then hook up some cheep systems and play till your
hearts content. using third party software that you don't know the
first thing about is far from the ideal way to learn how to hack (if
you can call it that)
what you first need to do is grow a brain, that is the most
impotant hacking tool you need.....I would start there if I were you.
I only hope that the software you mention is a trojan on your own
computer already at work on your system, its no less than you deserve.
