I have a few games I want to turn into game movies and I want to use 1 second of black screen between segments to indicate e.g. a change of location or a time skip between showing parts of a battle and the following cutscenes.

I got this: My initial intro video with my logo starts playing and ends after 12 seconds, then I got a black screen for 15 seconds and then finally loads the Root level and sublevels so both Print Strings appears at the same time.

Okey, I get this black screen from Editor using Standalone mode but If I package the project, it just works fine playing the intro video and once its finished, loads Root level while MainMenu is loading so both Print Strings gets activated almost at the same time.

When working at a computer, people blink less frequently.Blinking is very important when working at a computer; blinking moistens your eyes to prevent dryness and irritation. So setting up the monitor to go black will fail the purpose of it , although it could make you remember to take the break.

We have 2 tvs and 2 Rogers Ignite boxes. Both have the same problem. When watching Ignite Tv suddenly the screen goes black, no sound, for about 6 seconds, then resumes the program. This happens on both tvs. Checked connections, Cannot resolve this problem. Any suggestions?

When watching TV at my parents' house yesterday, I had the Guide open (looking for something/ANYTHING good to watch), and then the screen went black. Waited... then the screen came back on again with the Guide still open, and the program/channel was still streaming in the background. Confirmation that just the HDMI connection dropped; nothing else "reset".

For over a month and it is getting more common, the tv pic freezes, sound still going, also 10 to 15 second black outs. Happens on a consistent basis. I know it's not the television as it is happening to both TV's and neighbours.
I understand Rogers may need to update at times, fixes etc but this happens all day all hours. I have ignite so I reboot the boxes all the time, does not help. Watching the Leafs tonight, freezing all the time. Pay a lot of money for very poor service. Considering changing service. Almost impossible and a considerable amount of time to question anyone live at Rogers. Just very poor service. Would not recommend it to anyone and I know a number of people in the neighbourhood feel the same.
Hope Rogers having this forum don't think this is a great way to reach out because it is not.

Given that the HDMI, drop-outs also seem to last for precisely 5 seconds, I still suspect that this is a software-related issue, not a hardware fault -- it's like some code gets stuck and gets reset after 5 seconds when a watchdog timer expires. It may also be the kind of problem that (say) reproduces after playing content on Prime Video. (I don't really know if this is the case. Just giving an example.)

Don't know if anyone else has noticed a significant improvement with this but Rogers did tell me on Friday that they would be working on a solution over the weekend. They must have figured it because today, my screen has only blacked out once - much, much better than it has been.

Hey, recently my game has gone weird. It flashes a black screen for five seconds then crashes with no message, the social club launcher pops up saying that the game failed. No reason, nothing. I haven't made any adjustments since I last played.

Yes lol, I deleted the Rage folder from C://. I can't even get to the point where I can get onto the server. I click on GTA W to connect, RAGEMP closes for a second, I wait abit, black screen then the social club launcher says it couldn't run.

I personally have had this issue when since I purchased my QE55WN95A back in October 2021 where the screen goes black, sometimes for a split second, sometimes for 2-4 seconds. On other occasions it will totally lose the signal from my console (will advise that connection has been lost) and I need to change input back to my TV (HDMI 1 for example) and back to my Xbox (HDMI 2) for it to work. All the while the console and the game are still running in the background and when the screen goes black, I can still hear sounds. This is an intermittent fault, sometimes I can do it 5-6 times in quick succession, sometimes lasting 1 second a time, others up to 4-5 seconds. Other times it may only happen once or twice an evening. This mainly happens when I am playing on the Xbox but also does occasionally happen when viewing 'normal' TV via Sky Q.

Today I called John Lewis who arranged for a company to check the fault and make the necessary repairs. They called me within an hour and after explaining the above she said she would order a new screen. I explained I had emailed the CEO at John Lewis and asked her to hold fire now. JL called me back and explained that I would need to prove the fault existed etc.

So i have my Pi connected to a small 7" monitor (feelworld T7 plus), and when i turn on the pi and let the video run it will periodically go black for just a second before coming back. The interval of the screen going black changes when i do some change in the config.txt. I have for example tried to change#config_hdmi_boost to a higher number, but it has been most stable at 4, otherwise the black screen hasbeen even more frequent. I have also tried to switch between 3 different HDMI cables without any luck. When i change screen to my TV it works without any problem. I also just realized that it works when i run the Pi without any SD-card in it, so it just the text-terminal looking for anyting to run, which leds me to belive there is something with the configuration with the SD-card in ralation to the specfic monitor. The monitor works without any problem when i use hdmi signal from an other computer.
