Hi all,
I contacted Chris at Equinox and he suggested I contact some people on the website to see if anyone wanted to get out and walk around in the cold with a pack full of climbing gear.
I'm traveling up to Whitehorse for work on Monday the 29th jan (just for the day) but I could fly up early and spend the weekend to get some ice climbing in if I can find someone silly enough to climb with a stranger.
I haven't climbed in 18 months after having a little slip and a helicopter ride off a mountain down south but apart from the fitness I'm sure I will be ok.
I was leading WI5+ but I'm sure I will be down to 3's and following 4's, TR anything.
I would be able bring any gear I just won't have a suitable vehicle for anything worthwhile.
I am in my early 40's and been climbing for lots of years in NZ, Oz, Canada, USA, Sth America and Nepal, and have a strong belief that safety comes third (looks and style being 1&2).
So if you are up for a laugh shoot me an email.
Bio on Outdoor Research website or just google Jason wheeler climbing or Jason wheeler ice climbing and something will come up. Be warned there are two of us, I'm the one from NZ not he one from Portland.
