Hello!

I have a question and a suggestion.

Question: Does anyone have a hammer drill they are willing to loan out or rent?

Suggestion: To local route developers, please be very careful of your bolt placement. I have only been climbing here for a few weeks and have already noticed many bolts improperly placed. Issues include: having the bolts close enough to an edge that carabiners will be torqued over the edge when loaded, bolts causing rope paths to run over very sharp edges unnecessarily, and bolts placed very close to fractures in the rock. I will happily donate the time and hardware to fix a few of these problem bolts if someone has a drill to lend.

Climb safe!

Derek

Perhaps I should note that I will contact whoever put the route up before making any changes.

As a side note, I just cleaned two new routes this weekend that are awaiting some bolts...
