Hello Everyone,
As planned, we are going to climb Algonquin Peak on Sunday. On Saturday and Monday we will be on the way between States and Canada.
Unfortunately, the weather on Sunday changes a lot from no rain to strong thunderstorm as forecasted at http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/ray-brook-ny/12977/daily-weather-forecast/2128575?day=4
So we have to wait to see if there is a hope of good weather. The camping ground at http://www.reserveamerica.com/campgroundMap.do still shows 13 sites available (2 were booked yesterday).
As for the backup plan, I honestly have no idea and would like your guys to put two cents.
Thanks,
Roger

Hi Roger, and other friends,
As for the backup plan, if anybody has good idea, that would be wonderful. If not, how about we just use MikeCaptain's plan for Bruce Trail hiking. There is two-days hiking plan and one day's hiking plan. I think most of us are in MikeCaptain's hiking team, and already received the email for these plans.
Have a good day,
Helen

Hello,
Finger lake area is suitable for camping as well, but the weather is same as Adirondack area. Sunday's weather at Mont Tremblant is bad too.
If we push Mont Tremblant climbing to Monday, when the weather is not too bad, then we have to drive 7 hours back to Toronto that day, plus at least 5 hours to climb Mont Tremblant and play around. Thus, that will be too tough for Monday.
Maybe touring Ottawa is a choice instead during the long weekend. There are a lot sites to go in Ottawa. Simple plan could be :
1 Sat, driving to Ottowa, 5 hours,
Touring Ottawa http://iseanblog.blogspot.ca/2010/12/ottawa-catalogue-listing.html
Food hunting
Staying one night at $97/Night
http://www.expedia.ca/Ottawa-Hotels-Embassy-West-Hotel.h9909.Hotel-Information?chkin=04%2F08%2F2012&chkout=06%2F08%2F2012&rm1=a2&hwrqCacheKey=1e6ba4b7-f122-4800-bb73-c106bbac3454HWRQ1343932966151&c=7a16fe03-300a-400e-ab72-410821616a32&&hashTag=default&rfrr=-30461
2. Sun, continuing touring
3. Mon, driving back to Toronto, 5 hours
-----------------------------------
Or another choice is leaving on Friday, and climbing on Sat and camping one night.

有15.2mm(3小时)降雨。

So, We leave on Friday night, Sat.climbing, Sunday night going back.
I think that would be a good plan because we would avoid traffic on Monday when most ppl. would be on return on that day.

Hello,
Finger lake area is suitable for camping as well, but the weather is same as Adirondack area.

2. Sun, continuing touring
3. Mon, driving back to Toronto, 5 hours

Or another choice is leaving on Friday, and climbing on Sat and camping one night.

Québec is also another choice. Because there is Tremblant 翠湖山庄 ( http://www.tremblant.ca), in additional to good whether.

Thanks,
Roger

Thanks Rogers.I suppose we are on the way back on Sunday, so no hiking in the rain even there's storm? If, only if, the worst case the weather there does not work for our trip to New York, how about we define a backup trip and go together for the long weekend?
有15.2mm(3小时)降雨。
