Petition to sign: John Stewart

Dear All

John Stewart, veteran anti-airport campaigner and chair of both HACAN
and Airportwatch, has been barred from entering the USA and turned
back from JFK airport after 6 hours questioning by the FBI, Secret
Service and immigration officials. John, who has no criminal record,
had been intending to go on a pre-arranged speaking tour of several US
cities. John Stewart's application to enter the US for an invited
speaker tour had been approved under the U.S. Visa Waiver programme
for British citizens. In mid-Atlantic flight, it was rescinded. As a
result, Stewart was sent back to the UK after questioning. Land of the
