Hi all,
here are a few open questions or tasks:
- Promotion message/materials for recruiting participants.
- Who will do the matching?
- Write a welcome message for joining participants.
- What rules do we need?
- Re-matching or trial period?
- Can you have several buddies?
- One facilitator - several regions? Or only one?
- How to involve schools/children? Is it any different than for youth?
List of suggested topics for climate buddies to talk about/activities
to do together:
Where do you live?
What do you eat?
What do you do every day?
What are your goals in life?
What are you good at do you know much about?
What impacts of climate change have you observed or felt?
Where do you get your food, water, electricity from?
How do you stay healthy? What diseases do you have (personally, in
your community)?
How much money do you use?
What do you buy besides food, water and medicine?
How much CO2 and other GHGs do you emit?
Do your personal emissions differ from the average in your country?
Has your country/region fossil fuels that need to stay in the ground?
How many generations before you relied on fossil fuels for everyday
needs?
Has your country, region, city a zero carbon target yet?
What public policies are in place or being discussed to curb emissions
in your city, region, country?
Who is working on climate change, environmental, human rights, social
justice issues in your city/community?
Describe a detailed emissions record.
Which zero emissions solutions are used in your community/city? Which
ones are still remembered?
Please comment or add. I have also put them up on the wiki (http://
