2nd Announcement: Mountain GIS e-Conference, 14 - 25 January 2008

The Organisers of Mountain GIS e-Conference would like to take this
opportunity to thank all the individuals who have registered as
participants in this virtual conference. As of 4th January 2008, 466
participants have registered for this e-Conference out of which 269
participants are from the ICIMOD's regional member countries (RMCs): 10
participants from Afghanistan, 9 from Bangladesh, 7 from Bhutan, 9 from
China, 60 from India, 133 from Nepal and 41 from Pakistan.
This is also a reminder to inform you that the Mountain GIS e-Conference
"Promoting Geographic Information and Earth Observation Applications for
the Sustainable Development of the Hindu Kush Himalayan region" is only a
week away. This is an email-based virtual conference slated for 14-25
January 2008.
