Hi all

Amid the general election and rumblings from the US about Trump pulling out ot the Paris climate deal, it's easy to miss that the public consultation on the expansion of Heathrow airport ends soon (25 May).

The government's approach to the climate implications of a third runway is to ignore them, issue bland assurances and hope no one asks difficult questions. But it looks like they are wandering towards some sort of 'lets hope we can offset the extra emissions somehow'.
