The first International Conclave on Climate Change (ICCC-1) and Exhibition being organised by Center for Climate Change, Engineering Staff College of India, reflects the prime importance of impact of power generation on Climate Change & focus on energy security, thus requirement of clean and green technologies for sustainable development.
ICCC-1 is an unrivaled platform where policy makers and policy implementers will join together to discuss the gaps in climate change policies and its implementation in India. India, the largest growing economy shifted aside as BASIC, is sailing thru unique phase of development @low carbon. ICCC-1 is a platform where top Government officials and corporate shall join together for brainstorming, round-table and special sessions to come out with effective solutions for implementation of environment responsive and society camaraderie policies and shall also be able to take the step for eradicating the submissive policies. This first of its kind of conclave in southern part of India shall be of great interest for international climate change policy designers and implementers and climate change negotiators.

Presence of Shri M. Shashidar Reddy, Vice-Chairman, National Disaster Management Authority (NMDA) and Shri Farrooq Abdullah, Minister, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy is confirmed.
During this conclave the Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh will welcome and address the national and international delegates. Dr. R. K. Pachauri, Inter Governmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) shall provide policy out line for Indian climate change scenario. Mr. Massamba Thioye, Manager of standard setting unit, Sustainable Development Mechanism programme and United Nations Framework Conventions of Climate Change (UNFCCC), will highlight international scene. Mr. Dato Ir Lee Yee Cheong, FASc Chairman, International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation under the Auspices of UNESCO (ISTIC), Malaysia shall be a keynote speaker of a plenary session and Environment Minister of Andhra Pradesh shall consider moving towards low carbon economy. Garg, Ex-Head, Center for Energy Studies; Dr. Dieter Mutz Director, ASEM; Shri Satrucharla Vijayarama Raju, Minister for Forest, Environment, S&T, A.P.; Shri Pradeep Chaturvedi, Chairman, Indian Association for Advancement of Sciences, Delhi, Prof. Dr. HC Konrad Hagedorn, Head of Division of Resource Economics, Germany; Shri Pramod Deo, Chair Person, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission(CERC) and Shri S.K. Malhotra, Head, Public Awareness Division, Dept. of Atomic Energy are other key speakers. Presence of Shri T. Chatterjee, Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF); Shri B. Bandyopadhyay, Advisor, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE); Dr. Ajay Mathur, Director General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and Mr. Peter Verghese, High Commissioner, Australia (India office) is confirmed.
