Jose Maria Sarriegi Major Catastrophe Research Award

TECNUN the School of Engineering (University of Navarra) and the Cátedra of Catastrophe of the Aon foundation in Spain are hosting the sixth annual Jose Maria Sarriegi Major Catastrophe Research Award.

This award recognizes outstanding research published in the field of disaster management. The winning article will receive a €1,000 prize.

To be eligible, your research article must:

• Be published between 2022 and 2023 in a journal indexed by the Web of Science.
• Focus on major disasters, natural or human caused addressing methods for anticipating, preventing, managing, and responding to these large-scale events.

This year, there is a special focus on research involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) for disaster management. 

The application deadline is the 30^th of September 2024.
