Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to invite members of the Climate Resilience Virtual Research Community to contribute to the upcoming 2026 International Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) Summit, taking place June 22–26, 2026, in Panama City, Panama.
The SBCC Summit is the largest global gathering of practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and funders committed to harnessing communication and behavioral science to address the world’s most pressing challenges. In 2026, we are especially eager to welcome perspectives from those advancing climate resilience and resilience thinking – from policy innovation and community engagement to behavior-centered solutions for sustainable futures.
We encourage you to submit an abstract by October 3, 2025 under one of our core sub-themes, including Action & Impact (spotlight: planetary health and collective response), Knowledge & Evidence (spotlight: decolonizing evidence), and Inclusion & Equity (spotlight: ethical technology). These areas offer rich opportunities to showcase how climate resilience research and practice are driving real-world change.

Your insights and innovations are vital to shaping a Summit that not only explores the role of SBCC in health and development but also in addressing the existential challenges of our time, including climate and environmental resilience.
I look forward to seeing your voices represented in Panama.
Warm regards,
Nicole Jurmo
