Call for Participation

The COMPASS (Conference on Computing and Sustainable Societies) 2025 Doctoral Consortium is a day-long event that provides a platform for doctoral students to present and discuss their research, exchange ideas, and receive constructive feedback from experienced mentors and peers. This year, the DC will take place in person in Toronto on July 22nd, 2025. 


If you are a later-stage doctoral student working on any of the following topics, please consider applying by March 7, 2025.

  • Systems and IoT for Sustainable Societies
  • HCI, Design and Critical Perspectives
  • AI, ML, and Data Science for Sustainable Societies
  • Development, Economics and Policy
  • Environment, Sustainability, Climate Change, and Natural Hazards
  • Technology, Media, and Social Practice
Other subject areas in related fields of Computing and Sustainable Societies are also welcome.

Applications require:
  • An (up to) 4-page research statement
  • A 2-page CV
