Dear colleagues,

We are inviting applications for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher at Princeton University, in association with the NOAA GFDL lab. We seek a postdoctoral or more senior research scientist, to develop machine learned parameterizations for vertical mixing in the ocean surface boundary layer and apply them to ocean climate models. The work is part of the international project, M²LInES. The scientific goal of this project is to improve climate predictions by reducing climate model errors at the air-sea/ice interface using machine learning (ML) models.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or expect to complete a Ph.D. for an anticipated start date in late 2024 or early 2025.

Application should be uploaded here by November 15th, 2024, 11:59 pm EST for full consideration.
For additional information or questions, please contact Dr. Brandon Reichl (brandon...@noaa.gov) or Dr. Alistair Adcroft (aadc...@princeton.edu).

I would be grateful if you could share this email with any qualified candidates.

Best regards,

Johanna Goldman, on behalf of Alistair Adcroft and Brandon Reichl
