Announcing the Conference on "AI and mathematics for  meteorology and climatology" ,  May 5th 2025 at the Collège de France, organised by Pierre-Louis Lions and Stéphane Mallat :

This one-day conference will discuss the state of the art at the interface of mathematics, physics and AI for meteorology  forecasting and climatologic models. There will be 6 presentations:

- Michael Brenner, Harvard University,  "The neural GCM and other remarks"

- Thomas Dubos, École Polytechnique, "Hamiltonian insights and the challenge of unresolved processes in geophysical models"

- Laure Zana, Courant Institute, NYU, "Reshaping climate modelling with AI"

- Remi Lam, Google DeepMind, "Learning global weather forecasting from data"

- Claire Monteleoni, INRIA & University of Colorado Boulder,  "Confronting climate change with generative and self-surpervised machine learning"

- Marc Bocquet, École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées,  "Artificial Intelligence for gephysical data assimilation"
