Hello,

I wanted to share about a postdoc. fellow position with this group. This two-year appointment provides a postdoctoral opportunity to conduct research related to the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) remote sensing for Earth science. This position will provide scientific support to the studies on the observation errors and quality controls of radio occultation (RO) observation, and, furthermore, studies to optimize the GNSS-RO data assimilation. This work will be performed using the Unified Forward Operator (UFO) as part of the Joint Effort for Data Assimilation Integration (JEDI). JEDI is a new data assimilation system being developed at Joint Center for Satellite Data Assimilation (JCSDA) and slated to be a next-generation system at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Navy, Air Force, and the UK Met Office, as well as a community system for academia and the private sector.
  • Location: Boulder, CO.
  • Type: Full time, exempt.
  • Position Term: One-year term, with a possibility of extension.
