upstairs at the Peterborough Public Library. Youth 14 to 24 are welcome

2. The Land Between : Science & Stewardship Symposium
When: Oct 15th 1pm - 5pm & Oct 16th 10am - 2pm
Where: Haliburton School of the Arts
A region extending from Georgian Bay to the Frontenac Arch. It sits
between the Canadian Shield and the St. Lawrence Lowlands. It is an area
of high biodiversity and unique cultural heritage. The symposium is an
annual open house event show casing new research, projects and
educational information.

4. Sea Ice, See Space: Cracks in Inuit Knowledge.
When: October 22nd, 7:30pm
Where: Bagnani Lecture Hall, Trail College, London Street.
Dr. Heyes will explore how three generations of Inuit from a community
near Ungava Bay, Canada see the coast. His talk will focus on the way
Inuit describe and communicate knowledge of this zone as it moves
through seasonal change, and the how the changing role of such knowledge
affects the way young generations relate to the coast on both practical
and spiritual levels.
