New outreach video to help encourage people to join People’s Assemblies: We’ve put together a short video encouraging people to get involved in People’s Assemblies on Climate Justice. We are encouraging people involved in assembly organizing to use it (link to it in emails, on facebook pages and more) to help promote attendance to their communities assembly. 2. Human Rights Day Event - Dec. 9th, 7- 9pm, Peterborough Public Library
What is the history of the land we walk? Who are the Local Indigenous People?
with Doug Williams, Director of Studies for the PhD program in Indigenous Studies at Trent University.He is a member of the Pike Clan of the Mississaugas of Curve Lake First Nation, and was raised in the language and culture of his people Doug is proud to work to ensure that Indigenous Knowledge is maintained within community.
