Dear KWIC members and friends,
Many thanks to everyone who joined us for our 21st Anniversary Celebration last Friday evening, with special guest, multi media artist and photo journalist, Alan Lissner, who shared with us the very personal impacts of large scale mining on communities around the world. And welcome to the new KWIC board.

Please find attached the KWIC Annual Report with our annual fundraising insert. Your financial contributions support tangible global education activities and youth engagement programming in Peterborough and the Kawartha's.

Visit the KWIC website at www.kwic.info: we've just updated our look, expanded our Facebook presence and expect to be blogging soon. The Community Events Calendar  also enjoys a fresh look with a more interactive format. If you'd like to post your groups events, please contact Julie at kw...@trentu.ca to set-up an account.

Many thanks to Bruce at GrassRoots Design, Gemma, KWIC's Communications Ass't and our outgoing Canada World Youth volunteers, Zina Kwan and James Msophe for all their great work on improving KWIC's communications and IT.

Please tune in from 1 to 2pm today for CONVERGENCE, KWIC's monthly radio program with Jo Hayward Haines and J. Reid. Today's program will continue the conversation on the impact of large scale Canadian mining companies, as well as discover some of the dynamic youth programming that is taking place in Peterborough, with special guest, Fraser MacDonald.
Live & Lively at Trent Radio: 92.7 FM!

Many thanks,
