WRI is pleased to announce the release of its new Climate Analysis Indicators Tool, or CAIT 2.0. This free online portal provides ready access to greenhouse gas emissions data from 185 countries and all 50 U.S. states, as well as other climate-relevant indicators. Through its powerful yet easy-to-use interface, CAIT 2.0 allows users to readily view, sort, visualize, and download these data sets for comparative analysis as needed.

The original CAIT, in operation from December 2003 through May 2012, was frequently cited in news articles, policy briefs, and government documents, and was regularly used to inform policy discussions within the UNFCCC and other forums. CAIT 2.0 seeks to build on the strengths of its predecessor in providing a reliable and trustworthy online data platform, while adopting advances in technology to make for a more efficient and intuitive user experience.

This Google Group is used to answer questions regarding the new CAIT 2.0. Topics referring to the old CAIT are still accessible for reference, but are locked for further replies. If you have any questions or feedback regarding the new CAIT 2.0 please open up a new topic and we try to help you as fast as possible.

We invite you to visit the site and begin using this remarkable tool. As CAIT 2.0 is still in Beta form, we’re also actively seeking feedback from users and taking suggestions on improvements. Please try out CAIT 2.0 at http://www.wri.org/project/cait and send us your thoughts via the online feedback form, which will help inform site development in the months ahead.:
