Don’t you wish Girls Rock Camp had been around when you were a kid? How about if there was a camp for you now? Well, we’re not time travelers, but we’re making that second dream come true!
Girls Rock! DC is pleased to announce our
first ever Ladies Rock Camp for adult women!
Ladies Rock Camp (LRC) 2014 will be held Saturday, October 11 - Monday, October 13 at the SEED School (4300 C St SE, W, DC 20019). Ladies Rock Camp is open to adult women age 19 and up and is a three-day version of our summer girls rock camp. Campers will learn an instrument, form a band and collaborate to write an original song to be performed in the Camper Showcase at the end of the weekend at a local music venue for a live audience. No musical experience necessary to participate in LRC!
Campers will also participate in women- and music-focused workshops like Songwriting, Stage Presence and Performance and the History of Women in Music, while meeting other awesome women-rockers!
Tuition for Ladies Rock Camp is $400 with an option to make an additional donation of $150 to cover the full cost of one camper at our summer girls rock camp. (Tuition for one girl to attend Girls Rock! DC Summer Camp is $550). Because tuition from Ladies Rock Camp helps to support the cost of our summer camp, we are, unfortunately, unable to offer financial aid. (Please see fine print below for more info on payment).

The fine print:
Ladies Rock Camp will be held from 9:30 am – 9:00 pm Saturday and Sunday and from 9:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday with the Camper Showcase Monday evening (location TBD). Campers must attend all of Ladies Rock Camp to participate. Childcare accommodations can be provided.
We will offer instruction in electric guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals. No musical experience is necessary to participate in Ladies Rock Camp.
Initial acceptances for Ladies Rock Camp campers will be sent out by September 24. They will include instructions for tuition payment. We accept credit/debit cards and money orders only for tuition payment. No checks will be accepted. If you are not accepted initially due to insufficient space, you will be placed on our wait list and notified in the order of when your application was received if space becomes available. Once you have been accepted, tuition payment must be received within two weeks. If we do not receive your tuition payment within two weeks of notifying you of your acceptance, your acceptance will be nullified and your spot will be offered to someone on our waitlist.
While we are called “rock camp,” we welcome women interested in all musical genres. Girls Rock! DC Ladies Rock Camp is open to adults who identify as female, transgender, and/or gender non-conforming, regardless of race, class, sexual orientation, ethnicity, size and/or ability.
