drop table with engine kafka is hung

I deleted a table with kafka engine and the query has been running for 2 hours even after the client has been disconnected.

If I try to drop table again, I get the message "...is dropping or detaching right now"

I have tried running "kill query where query_id=" with no effect.

I have dropped and recreated this table many times before, I would prefer to resolve this without restarting clickhouse server

Just run into the same issue :(

DROP TABLE costsKafka

just hangs. 

Don't see any error logs, when I try to kill the query I am getting 

kill_status: waiting

Any luck with this?
