Are there any performance benchmarks vs AWS RedShift? or documentation on how current benchmarks were run so we can try and run that ourselves?

Currently no.

Benchmarks on https://clickhouse.yandex/benchmark.html are done on data that couldn't be disclosed, thus not reproducible.
It would be better to provide benchmarks on open data, that could be easily reproduced.
We have some working on it, look at https://github.com/yandex/ClickHouse/tree/master/doc/example_datasets directory.
"Ontime" dataset is promising.
