Benefits of using Parquet in Clickhouse?

Just I have came across that clickhouse is also supporting parquet format.

Before going into it , Just  wanna know few things on that.

1.Is it Consistent

2.Are there any performance implications by using that.

3.what is the benefit of clickhouse over using parquet
