I have a couple of feature requests for this plug-in.

1) Ctrl+Arrow key movements

I would like it if the Ctrl+Left/Right Arrow key word movement could
be set to obey one of the regular expressions.

In particular, I'm trying to get gedit to mimic some of Visual
Studio's behaviour and I would like Ctrl+Right Arrow, and Ctrl+Shift
+Right Arrow (for extending selections) (and Left Arrow, similarly) to
follow the same regular expressions that I have configured for double-
click select by word.

2) Double-click+drag to select, snapping to word boundary

I would like it if you could double-click and drag and have the
selection snap to word boundaries (or whatever the regular expression
defines word boundaries to be.) Again, this is similar to
functionality available in Visual Studio.

What do you think?

It's possible. I have added these to the issues list as enhancement
requests.

However, neither would be a trivial addition relative to the rest of
the plugin. I will definitely consider adding these for version 2,
but that's probably a few months from now as I currently have other
distractions.

Thanks for the ideas.

Great!  Thanks, Derek.  And BTW, I love using the plugin.  Good job!

I've changed the double-click-drag behavior from 'enhancement' to
'defect,' because gedit normally has this feature and the plugin
breaks it.

I wasn't previously aware of this feature, but for example, here's a
page of bug complaints about NetBeans not having it:
http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=89607

The Ctrl + arrow keys feature, on the other hand, is really
independent of the clicking behavior modified by the plugin, so while
it might be logically related to the double-click selection, it's not
in any way broken by it. But I still might implement it for the sake
of consistency.
