1Click the "Choose Files" button to select multiple files on your computer or click the "URL" button to choose an online file from URL, Google Drive or Dropbox. Image file size can be up to 200M. You can use file analyzer to get source image's detailed information such as image size, resolution, quality and transparent color.

2. Set target image format, image quality and image size. You can use the original image size or select the "Change width and height" option and enter a custom image size. The format is [width]x[height], for example: 1920x1080. The image quality option only works on a few image formats such as JPG, WEBP or AVIF. The value ranges from 1 (lowest image quality and highest compression) to 100 (best quality but least effective compression). If this value is blank, the converter will use the estimated quality of your input image if it can be determined, otherwise 92. The target image format can be JPG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, HEIC, BMP, PS, PSD, WEBP, TGA, DDS, EXR, J2K, PNM, SVG, etc.

3. Click the "Convert Now!" button to start batch conversion. It will automatically retry conversion on another server if one fails, please be patient while converting. The output files will be listed in the "Conversion Results" section. Click icon to show file QR code or save file to cloud storage services such as Google Drive or Dropbox.

Image files are composed of digital data in one of image file format that can be rasterized for use on a computer display or printer. An image file format may store data in uncompressed, compressed, or vector formats. A raster graphics image is a dot matrix data structure, representing a generally rectangular grid of pixels, or points of color. As opposed to the raster image formats, vector image formats contain a geometric description which can be rendered smoothly at any desired display size.

You should look at sizes of individual assets that you are going to use, not the entire design. Say, like a background image for a button: if it has 40x40 px size in the @2x, you should scale the original image to 60x60 px in size and export it as @3x.

Surprisingly, the photos taken on my iPhone 13 Pro are saved in .heic format when I connected it to my Windows 11 PC and plan to edit some of them in Photoshop. I have roughly 1000 images on iPhone and would love to learn a fast way to bulk convert .heic to jpg on my PC.

[Update] Still receive notification from this thread from time to time. Actually, I installed a few heic converters, the one that finally worked is TunesBro HEIC Converter, suggested by Mohamed857. Here is the step-by-step tutorial (external link removed by moderator) you can check out.

CloudConvert is a powerful online file conversion service that supports over 200 different file formats, including HEIC, JPG, and more. It allows users to convert files without installing any software on their computer, making it a convenient solution for various file conversion needs. The platform is designed with an easy-to-use interface, enabling users to quickly convert files without any prior technical knowledge.

Please be cautious when using online converters, as uploading personal or sensitive images to third-party websites might pose privacy risks. Also, the conversion speed may depend on your internet connection and the size of the files being converted.

However, instead of importing your photos as HEIC and then converting them on your PC, you should be able to import them directly as JPG (having the phone convert them upon transfer). For this, change the settings on the iPhone. I have it in French but in English the option in the camera settings should be named something like "Transfer to Mac or PC" and then a choice between Original file (=HEIC) and Automatic (=HEIC when transferring to a Mac and JPG in other cases).

So, I recently got myself one of those fancy new iPhones, and it comes with this nifty HEIC photo format. It's all cool for saving space, but when it comes to sharing pics with friends who aren't on Team Apple, well, that's a bit of a pickle.

1. The main reason I got this software was to convert my HEIC photos to JPEG. All I had to do was drag and drop the HEIC files into the program, select the output format (JPEG, in my case), and click the "Convert" button. It was that simple. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the software converted my photos. Even when dealing with a batch of images, it didn't take long at all. This was a huge time-saver for me.

I'd definitely recommend giving TunesBro HEIC Converter a try, it solved the compatibility issue I had with HEIC photos and made sharing images a breeze. Plus, the software was so user-friendly that I didn't feel like I needed to be a tech guru to use it effectively.

Certainly! I also used TunesBro HEIC Converter to change lots of .heic image to PNG, it saved the day when I found myself stuck with HEIC format photos on my iPhone, causing compatibility headaches with non-Apple devices. Its hassle-free installation and user-friendly interface made converting HEIC to JPEG a breeze, preserving image quality while delivering lightning-fast results.

@HolawayStay away from TunesBro HEIC Converter. It works fine if you are converting a couple dozen photos, but I needed to convert a couple thousand. You can't convert more than around 80 without the application locking up. There is a terrible memory leak so have each tiny batch of conversion, you have to restart the application because it never releases memory. Poorly written and not user friendly at all.

Convert image to Base64 online and use the result string as data URI, img src, CSS background-url, and others. Sometimes you have to send or output an image within a text document (for example, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML), but you cannot do this because binary characters will damage the syntax of the text document. To prevent this, for example, you can encode image to Base64 and embed it using the data URI. Please note that the image to Base64 encoder accepts any images types with a size of up to 50 MB. If you are looking for the reverse process, check Base64 to Image.

The Image to Base64 converter generates ready-made examples, depending on the selected output format. It automatically detects the content type of the uploaded image, so that you simply copy the complete result. If you need to encode specific image formats, please follow the links below.

If you do not know what output format you need, check the following examples to see how will look the result of the same Base64-encoded image formatted in each of the available formats (as an example image I use a one-pixel red dot GIF file):

Is this a new thing and what is the best way to download an image from my site online? I have a virtual assistant helping with social media and they usually use 'save image as' and then they have the jpeg file.

Great question! This relates to the new launch that we have made recently for store optimization - notably with images and how these are compressed. You can find some info on this launch here and also in more detail in our changelog here. WebP is a modern image format which has been developed by Google. We are now working with this to help bring the fastest speed to all stores.

There is more detailed info on working with the WebP format here. Though in relation to your query, in order to be able to download these images or access them natively at the moment, I would suggest to use a browser such as Safari as WebP images are not supported on this browser. There is some more info on this here, outlining which browsers support this format at present. In Windows, you may also rename the WebP file extension .jpg to open it as a .jpg file in Microsoft Photos or MS paint.

I don't like the new change where images are saved as WEBP files. Please return to the old way where I can save directly as JPEG/JPG files. The WEBP page adds a couple of additional steps to editing images. And when I am editing hundreds of images, this slows me down considerably. Please return to the old way of saving image files. Thanks for allowing me to comment. Jean

This transition to use Google's WebP image format has been made in order to optimize performance. WebP is a modern image format that provides superior compression for images on the web compared to traditional file formats like PNG and JPEG. This means faster load times for your customers when viewing your store.

We will not be reverting this I am afraid, however there are some additional workarounds which may help. Thanks to @PaulNewton for their helpful suggestion here. If this no longer works there are some additional options which you can use:
