SIS Gradebook Writeback: Discuss

We’re hearing an increasing number of districts and developers talking about SIS gradebook writeback. 

Are you considering that integration feature for your app? Could we help?

Our LMS offers customers the ability to either pull data from Clever SIS or to pull data directly from specific partner SISes. We're actively developing grade push to at least one of those partner SISes and if Clever offered us a way to push grades with support for a few SISes we'd certainly consider integrating. Bases on our experiences with working to write grades to our partner SISes the biggest challenge may be that different SISes expect different levels of granularity of grade data. Some want per-assignment grades from the LMS. Some want only per-term grades from the LMS. I can imagine that some SISes might want both. I don't envy your position of having to write an API that somehow communicates what level of gradebook writeback is supported/required by the SIS that the customer happens to be using.
