Don and fellow ICGC Members,

I am sorry to hear about your group suspending its operations but something has just started up here in Akron that I want to let you and your members know about. There is an Inventors Group starting up here in Akron. They are called “The Akron Inventors Club”. They will be holding their meetings on the second Thursday of each month here at the Akron Main Library. The first meeting is Thursday October 8^th, meeting starts at 6:30 pm with networking and refreshments starting at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held in the meeting room on the High Street Level at the Main Library, 60 South High St Akron, OH 44326. If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me. The first meeting is going to be a brainstorming session and a meet and greet and to see what people want out of an inventors group so hopefully some of you can make it and bring your ideas. Please share with any interested parties. Thanks!

Inventor Community,

 

    The officers of the Inventors Connection of Greater Cleveland is suspending its operations, at least temporarily. There seems to be a lack of interest in the Cleveland area for such a group, as evidenced by the low attendance. It was an embarrassment to have six people, including an 11-year old, attend the last meeting when an excellent speaker from California contributed his time and skills for a presentation for us.

 

    If there are others in the area who want to pick up the reins to better run the group to garner more interest, let them come forth. Just to maintain the e-mail mailing list for the group one needs adequate computer skills.

 

    You can contact the current officers via response to this e-mail --- I will see that your comments are distributed to them.
