Developing Games on Google App Engine

I will be giving a talk on developing games with Google App Engine at the Cleveland Game Developers Tech Workshop on Saturday.

I have recently released a Facebook game called Railroad Empire and on Saturday I will be discussing the major technology I used to develop this game.

Railroad Empire runs on Google App Engine using Python. Our maps are displayed using Google Maps API. We chose this platform because of the scalability of running on Google App Engine given that we do not know how big or how fast the game will grow. We have learned some wonderful lessons implementing this project on Google App Engine and we look forward to sharing some of those experiences with the Google App Engine development community in the near future.
