Hello there,
2 Corinthians 2:5-11
... that the devil don't have an advantage over us, because we know what it means. (2 Corinthians 2: 11).
Have you ever made a mistake? How do you feel when in such situations, people attacked and blame you? There are two possibilities. You'll beat yourself up redundantly, withdrew so as not to make mistakes. Or, you're going to defend yourself, trying to show that you are not the only one who should be blamed. The problem is not dealt with objectively, any relationship is threatened.
Damaging relationships between fellow members of the body of Christ is Satan's favorite strategies. He knew the children of God must complement each other to work on the purposes of God in this world. Paul was very aware of it. Therefore, he gave a warning to the Church at Corinth. Implied from our readings, they are having a problem with one of his brothers. For the sake of rebuke reprimand given. But people are guilty don't need more reprimand, but forgiveness and consolation to help him/her back into Fellowship and fix his attitude (verse 7). Without it he/she will continue to be derailed with guilt and not helped to grow.
"Loved him in earnest," (v. 8), is the advice must also be put into practice in our community today. God longs to build in a job we both glorify him. instead, the devil tries to make us hurt each other, so that the God we worship is not respected. How we behave with each other? The error needs to be reprimanded, but people who are guilty should be grabbed to bounce back. Don't let the devil have an advantage over us, because we know what it means.
It has been a long time since I posted something in the ADNM clergy family chatroom. Let's patronize it so that it becomes like one.
Remain blessed!
